Information collected automatically:  When you use our website, we automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, such as your device type, browser, IP address, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. This only happens in line with your cookie choices (see Section 5).

1. Process and manage your booking and your stay.

2. Respond to your enquiries and communicate with you.

3. Understand how our website is used and improve it.

4. Measure the performance of our marketing and understand which of our advertisements lead to bookings.

 3. Legal bases for processing (for EU/UK/EEA visitors)

We rely on the following legal bases:

1. Contract : to process and deliver a booking you have requested.

2. Consent : For cookies and marketing tracking that are not strictly necessary, which we only activate after you agree via our cookie banner.

3. Legitimate interests : To run and improve our business and website in ways you would reasonably expect, balanced against your rights.

4. Legal obligation:  Where we are required to keep records by law. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 5 and Section 8).

 4. Who we share your information with:

1. We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, including: NightsBridge (Our online booking engine, which processes your reservation.), Wix (Our website hosting platform)

2. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Where you have consented, via the Meta Pixel, and if you contact us through WhatsApp or our social channels) , Google (Where you have consented, via Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Maps.), Usercentrics (Which manages your cookie consent choices. These providers only process your data on our instructions or as described in their own privacy policies.)

 

3. Cookies and tracking technologies (Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of our marketing. This includes Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and the Meta Pixel (provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.), which helps us understand which of our advertisements lead to bookings. These tools may collect information such as your device, browser, IP address and pages viewed. Non-essential cookies and tracking technologies are only activated after you give consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the banner, and you can opt out of Meta's advertising tracking in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.)

 

4. International data transfers (Shanuo is based in Tanzania, and some of our service providers (such as Meta and Google) are based in or transfer data to countries outside the EU/UK/EEA, including the United States. Where your data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards these providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.) How long we keep your information (We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy - for example, for the duration of your booking and stay, plus any period required to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise it. )

 

5. Your rights Depending on where you live, you have the right to: 1. Access the personal data we hold about you. 2. Ask us to correct inaccurate data. 3. Ask us to delete your data. 4. Object to or restrict certain processing. 5. Withdraw your consent to cookies or marketing at any time. 6. Request a copy of your data in a portable format)

7. Children (Our website and services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.)

 

8. Changes to this policy (We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
